About Us

Igbo Digital is currently a one-man passion project. It has been a way to connect with my Igbo heritage and move it into the modern era. The goal is to put national knowledge at our fingertips. It is also to take more control over the meaning of being Igbo, including the good/bad/ugly.

The inital goal is to develop a platform for communicating significant events in Igbo history through a 'this week in Igbo' platform. Next is to develop a map of Igboland that graphically shows major locations and landmarks. Eventually, I would like to have regular interviews with Igbo leaders.

Hopefully, you'll join in the adventure and help grow this to become much larger than a one-man project.

General Update

We are up to about 45 facts now. The newsletter has been up and running. There is a page for resources since the Igbo history ecosystem is pretty extensive and its definitely worth showing off.

Completed Feature

Map of Igboland is functional and can now be built out to include more and more items. The idea is to quickly and graphically show how important towns/villages and locations are laid out.

Another aspect of this is to better understand the surrounding ethnicities around the Igbo.
